Holy Avtar Vani - Shabad No. 68
Rang hari de rangya jehrha jo karda jan kehnda ey;
Rang hari de rangya jehrha sang hari de rahnda ey.
Jo kuch hundai ho jaye bhaven dil nun ehde gam nahin;
Jo kuch hundai ho jaye bhaven naam bina koi kam nahin.
Jo kujh vi rab kar denda ey isnun mittha lagda ey;
Jisde dil vich chavhi ghante nam da diva jagda ey.
Sant aaye ne ese than ton ese vich samavange;
Ethe has has jeevan katde agge izzat pavange.
Santan nun vadiyana santon rab di hi vadiyayi ey;
Kahe avtar hari har andar hunda bhed na bhai ey.
Meaning
The one who is bestowed upon with this Divine Colour acts according to what he says. The one who is bestowed upon with this Divine Colour lives with God all the time. Come what may, he does not bear grief in his heart. Whatever is the situation, he is always engaged in remembering the Formless One. Whatever the Formless one has decided for him, he happily accepts it as a sweet reward; and in his heart, the candle of Divine Name is lit all the time. Saints have emerged and risen from this God, and will one day return back into him. They live with a smile in this world and receive honour hereafter. Praising saints is the same as praising the Formless One Himself. Avtar Says, O’ people, there is no difference between The Formless One and the True Master.
